4 Killed In Head-On Collision In Greenback

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said four people have been killed in a head-on collision.

Media outlets reported the crash happened Saturday night in Greenback when a northbound van on U.S. Route 411 crossed into the southbound lane and struck a car. Greenback is located about 30 miles southwest of Knoxville.

The highway patrol said three passengers in the car were killed: 13-year-old Destiny Vires, of Benton; and 13-year-old Riley Burris and 39-year-old Winnie L. Burris, both of Old Fort. The driver of the van, 34-year-old Darryl K. Brewer of Maryville, also died.

The car's driver was being treated for injuries.
