Police said the death of a 72-year-old man whose body was found in a building in Memphis appeared to be heat-related.
Memphis police spokesman Louis Brownlee said officers found the man lying on his back with no signs of life on Friday, just before noon. According to reports, the building where the man was found did not have air conditioning.
A medical examiner has been set to determine an official cause of death, though Brownlee said the death appeared to be related to the heat.
The National Weather Service said Memphis was under an excessive heat warning on Friday. The weather service said the temperature was 95 degrees at around the time the body was found.
