Authorities said a gas station store employee was killed and a suspect left in critical condition after a shooting during a robbery attempt in eastern Memphis.
Memphis police spokesman Louis Brownlee said a suspect attempted to rob the store Thursday afternoon, and the suspect and the employee exchanged gunfire.
Brownlee said both men were taken to a hospital in critical condition, but the employee later died. Authorities have not identified either of the men.
Colonel Samuel Hines said police have been searching for two more suspects in the robbery attempt.
