Authorities confirmed a fugitive wanted in Hamilton County for the alleged rape of a child has been captured in Louisiana.
Reports stated 49-year-old Michael Craig Gervais was facing charges in Hamilton County after being accused of raping a child.
The charges included one count of rape of a child and three counts of attempted child neglect.
Just a few days after being placed on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list, an investigation led officials to Gervais in southern Louisiana.
He was arrested without incident and lodged in jail in Louisiana. Gervais was being held without bond awaiting extradition to Tennessee.
