Those with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed a man on the Top 10 Most Wanted list has been taken into custody.
Reports state 28-year-old Demetrius Deshawn Covington was arrested Wednesday evening in Ohio.
Authorities said Covington was found in an apartment complex on Central Avenue in Dayton and was taken into custody by those with the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and officers with the Dayton Police Department.
Officials said Covington has also been known as Demetrius Somerville.
He has been wanted by the Elizabethton Police Department in Tennessee, as well as by the TBI, in connection to the death of a 3-year-old child.
According to reports, Covington has been charged with first degree murder.
He was being held in jail in Dayton, Ohio, awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
