Trial dates have been set for this winter for Gibson County's former sheriff and 11 ex-employees who have been facing charges that include theft, official misconduct, and obtaining prescription drugs by fraud.
News outlets reported former Gibson County Sheriff Charles "Chuck" Arnold and the other former employees have been expected to go to trial beginning first on November 7 and again on December 5.
Judge William Acree set the dates in court Monday.
Arnold was indicted in November on more than 100 counts of criminal charges by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation after current Gibson County Sheriff Paul Thomas found items missing when he took office in 2014.
Acree said the defendants have until September 1 to reach any possible plea agreements.
