OBION COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 70-year-old murder suspect David Vowell was found dead this afternoon.
Law enforcement found his body in Reelfoot Lake in Obion County around 3 p.m. Saturday.
He's accused of killing 26-year-old Chance Black and 25-year-old Zachery Grooms of Weakley County.
Authorities charged him with two counts of first degree murder on Tuesday.
TBI agents, along with officers from Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Madison County Fire started the search for him around the Reelfoot Lake area yesterday.
An autopsy is pending.
