Woman charged with first-degree murder in Wilson Co. marina death

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman has been charged with first-degree murder following a domestic incident at a Wilson County marina, according to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives arrested Jeaneen Boyas on Thursday, Aug. 20, in connection with the Aug. 14 incident at Cherokee Marina in Lebanon.

The victim was identified as Robert Mallen.

Boyas was taken into custody in Coffee County with assistance from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and Tullahoma Police Department.

She is being held in the Wilson County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

“Our detectives have worked diligently throughout this investigation, and I am grateful for their commitment and attention to detail,” Sheriff Robert Bryan said. “I also want to thank the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and Tullahoma Police Department for their assistance.”

Bryan said cooperation between law enforcement agencies helped authorities take Boyas into custody.

The investigation remains active. The sheriff’s office said no additional information is being released at this time.
