NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It was a donation from a middle Tennessee man that saved the life of a complete stranger.
Mike Lavin was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and received a life-saving bone marrow transplant 10 years ago.
Mike Baxter was the man who donated the stem cells that saved Mike's life, but the two had never met until Friday.
The folks at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer center brought Baxter in for what he thought was a press conference, and that's when Lavin surprised him.
