A van used to transport those unable to drive to Sunday services was reported as stolen from the First Baptist Church of Hermitage's parking lot on Sunday.
In a post shared on the church's Facebook page, the theft was announced in hopes of locating it as it is needed to transport members of the congregation to the church each weekend.
"Many in our congregation do not drive, so the vans are crucial to get our people to church."
The post goes on to say that while the church still has one van, it was apparent that the remaining vehicle had been tampered with when the other was stolen.
The van is a 1995 Dodge Ram 500.
