NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A store that was padlocked Monday for selling marijuana has become the scene of a break-in.

Police said the suspect was a relative of the store’s owner.

Meshary Alotaibi, age 25, allegedly broke the chains in order to get inside CJ Discount Market.

Officials had not said exactly how Alotaibi was related to the owner, but police went out to the store Tuesday night and found him in there.

In a copy of the affidavit report, authorities said Alotaibi was looking through paperwork.

The one who called police was the person who went to the store with him.

Investigators said employees were dealing drugs from the front counter. Officials found marijuana, a gun, scales, and counterfeit merchandise.

The store was also raided back in October for selling stolen merchandise.

The owner, Hani Alkaifi and clerk, Ahmed Alkisswani, were arrested.

Alkaifi has bonded out.

Alotaibi was booked in before 1 a.m. Wednesday and charged with burglary and vandalism. His bond was set at $15,000.
