NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Storm 5 Alert for New Year's Day has been canceled.
A cold front will come through early Friday with a narrow line of storms just ahead of the front. A Storm 5 Alert was issued Thursday evening due to the threat of gusty, straight-line winds and isolated tornadoes.
Around 8 a.m. Friday, the Storm Prediction Center removed the Middle Tennessee area from the marginal risk.
