NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Storm 5 Alert has been issued ahead of storms that could bring hail and flooding to the mid-state Monday night into Tuesday morning.
The Storm 5 Alert will be in place from midnight to 8 a.m. Tuesday.
A warm front will lift through Middle Tennessee tonight causing temperatures to climb, which means the overnight low temperatures will likely occur at Midnight.
We'll likely see a threat of small hail for areas south of I-40 and in the Cumberland Plateau, and with a already saturated ground, heavy rain could cause localized flooding.
It will be important that you stay weather-aware as you wake up and start your morning commute.
