Residents in Decaturville had a harrowing night as an EF-1 tornado slammed into the small country town about two hours outside of Nashville.

Monday night's storm damage, while contained to one section of Highway 100, was profound. Dozens of trees were uprooted, houses sustained damaged from flying debris and a camper trailer was overturned by the powerful winds.
Dave Harralston rode out the storm in his bathtub.
"Something told me I wasn't safe where I was at," he said.
The Decatur County Sheriff calls it a "miracle" no one was injured in Monday's storms. A few dozen homes lost power but by Tuesday afternoon crews had most of the electricity restored.
The National Weather Service has confirmed the storm was an EF-1 tornado Tuesday evening. It was the second confirmation that day after an EF1 tornado hit Lewis County out of the same line of storms that hit Decaturville.
