HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A student has been arrested in connection with a social media threat toward Station Camp High School in Sumner County.

Sumner County Schools confirmed Thursday morning that they received information that a student made a threat towards the school.

Police were notified and found that there was no credibility to the threat. The student reportedly told investigators that he made the post as a “joke.”

School officials said he was arrested and will face discipline.

“We appreciate the continued support of our local law enforcement agencies. We also encourage parents to continue to discuss and foster proper use of social media,” Sumner County Schools said in part.
