Metro Nashville Public School students competed all summer long in a Summer Reading Challenge on behalf of Mayor Megan Barry and the Nashville Public Library.
Thursday, the Mayor finally revealed the winning school and who would take her seat for the day.
"It is my great pleasure to announce that Eloise Poag will be the Mayor for the day,” Mayor Barry said.
Nashville Classical Charter School beat all other competing Metro schools.
Poag won the grand prize serving as Mayor for the day, trading school for City Hall.
The school also won a $300 cash prize from the Nashville Library Foundation to enhance multimedia technology.
