To celebrate "Read Me Week" our NewsChannel 5 anchors visited schools to read to students.
The week is time set aside to highlight the importance of reading to young students and celebrating Dr Seuss's Birthday.
Rhori Johnston visited Neely's Bend Elementary School. The class of 2nd graders talked monsters with him as he read about mummies and Frankenstein.
"They were great listeners, and offered up some fun questions as well. All of them say they love to read because the stories take them on a trip through their imaginations," said Johnson.
Amy Watson had the pleasure of reading to kids at Fannie Battle Day Home. She read the books "Pete the Cat" and "Is your Mama a Llama" to the youngsters.
