Students got active for Walk to School Day by doing just that - walking to school.
At Amqui Elementary the Hillsboro High school, marching band led the way for students Wednesday.
Each year, thousands of students, parents, teachers and community partners participate in Walk to School Day all over Nashville.
The event was started by Walk Bike Nashville to promote children's physical activity and encourage safe, walkable neighborhoods.
