NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro students received free books during the Scripps Howard Foundation book fair.

Scripps is NewsChannel 5's parent company and its charitable organization held a bood fair at Normal Binkley Elementary School Tuesday.

The book fair had a total of 1,600 books and each child was able to take two book home for free. And, with summer approaching, having books at home is even more important.

Teachers also got to pick out 14 books to keep in their classrooms.
