Study Ranks Tennessee As Fourth-Least Safe State

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee has been named among the most unsafe places to live, according to a new study.

A study by WalletHub ranked Tennessee as the 48th safest state in which to live.

WalletHub used statistics such as crime rates, traffic crashes, employer insurance coverage and climate disasters for a basis.

The study also took into consideration states with the most budget-friendly environments, in which Tennessee fared far better coming in at number 36.

However, Tennessee also had the third highest number of assaults, and was ranked 48th for natural disasters.

Massachusetts was named the safest overall state, whereas Mississippi ranked number 51.
