MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A substitute teacher in Rutherford County has been accused of not reporting a case of alleged child sex abuse.

According to WGNS News Radio, the incident stems from a 13-year-old girl spending the night at the home of Virginia McCord, her substitute teacher, in Murfreesboro.

McCord's husband, Craig, is a register sex offender and has been accused of touching the child inappropriately.

The child later reported it to her grandparents.
