Sumner Co. man charged with 6 counts of rape

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Sumner County man was arrested and accused of rape. Robert Pitt was charged with six counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.

Pitt is a well-known community play director who worked with the Hendersonville Performing Arts Company. According to online records, Pitts directed shows in both 2017 and 2018 at HPAC.

NewsChannel 5 reached out to the center. An official with the center responded saying, "Mr. Pitt has not been associated with Hendersonville Performing Arts Company for over two and a half years. HPAC has no further comment on this matter at this time."
