Mt. Juliet Police investigated an armed robbery that was caught on surveillance in the Providence area of the city.
Officers were called to the Penn Station East Coast Subs on S. Mt. Juliet Road at about 9:30p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, two masked men entered the restaurant with handguns and demanded cash from an employee. During the incident, police said shots were fired into the ceiling.
The two men got away with an unknown amount of money. Police said they were seen driving south on Mt. Juliet Road in a dark-colored, midsize SUV or car.
Investigators said no one was hurt in the robbery, and no customers were in the shop at the time.
