NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been taken into custody one day after a man was found fatally shot in Rutherford County.
Officials said Joshua Smith was arrested and charged with criminal homicide Thursday night.
According to investigators, the 22-year-old shot and killed Luis Diaz during a drug-deal gone bad on July 7.
His remains were found Wednesday in Rockvale, a community in Rutherford County.
Smith has claimed that another man shot Diaz.
Police said there could be more charges filed in the case.
No additional details were known.
