Suspect arrested after Thursday shooting in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The suspect in a shooting that happened Thursday afternoon in Clarksville has been arrested.

Clarksville police say the shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Officers responded to a fight that was in progress at the 2700 block of Wilma Rudolph Blvd. The call was changed to a shots fired call before they arrived.

When officers reached the scene, they found a victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to the hospital.

The seriousness of the victim's injuries have not been released.

The suspect in the shooting, Darice Dawayne Harris, 25, has been charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Harris is being held in the Montgomery County jail on a $150,000 bond.
