Investigators in Davidson County have asked for help from the public to identify and locate the suspect in a home invasion at the wrong house.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said officers responded to reports of a break-in at 238 Graylynn Drive in Hermitage.
An 86-year-old woman said she woke up around 1:30 a.m. Monday after the suspect put her in a headlock.
The male suspect reportedly showed the woman something on his phone.
Police said the woman wore a hearing aide and glasses, and was disoriented. She was unable to understand what the man was trying to show her.
Officials believed the suspect may have realized he was potentially at a different house than he intended, and he abruptly left.
The woman was able to call 911 emergency dispatch after the man left.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the woman with bruising to her eye and swelling on her lip. The woman refused medical treatment.
Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
