Suspect In Custody After Shots Fired Into North Nashville Apartment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been taken into custody after shots were fired into an apartment north of Nashville. 

The incident happened Tuesday morning at the Trinity Hills Village Apartments on Nocturne Drive.

Officials with Metro Police said the suspect knocked on the door of one of the units and fired several shots when the victims responded. 

According to police, there were children inside the apartment at the time of the incident.

No one was hurt.

A man was taken into custody at the scene. His identity was not known. 

A woman was also placed into the back of a cruiser after an altercation broke out among a group of people. It was unknown if the two incidents were related. 

No additional details were known.
