MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man accused in a deadly shooting at a party in Murfreesboro was arrested in Cheatham County on Tuesday.
Murfreesboro police said 23-year-old Larry Johnson has been charged with first-degree murder following the shooting. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 5.
Police said one person was killed in the shooting, 21-year-old Giovanni Gillis, and two others were hurt. Investigators said the shooting happened during a fight between several people during a party at a duplex on Ewing Boulevard early Saturday morning.
At least two dozen people were at the party and two additional people were grazed by bullets but refused medical treatment.
