A suspect search got underway overnight after a smash-and-grab burglary was reported in west Nashville.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at a Radio Shack on Charlotte Pike.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a cinder block was used to break out the glass door. At that point, the suspect made entry, grabbed several toy cars, and left the scene.
The business was supposed to close in four days. Signs reading “Everything Must Go” were posted outside of the building.
The manager was alerted of the break-in by the store's security company. They apparently caught the suspect on camera.
Police on scene said remote control cars were taken.
At first they suspected other items were missing, as well, but realized the store had already sold a lot of their items in their going-away sale.
