MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Authorities are searching for the alleged thieves accused of stealing an expensive 70-inch TV before driving off in a stolen Jaguar in Rutherford County.

The homeowner returned to his Blaze Drive residence in Murfreesboro to find that burglars had broken into a back kitchen door, ransacked his home and stole his $8,000 TV.

Murfreesboro police said he continued into his garage and found that his Jaguar was missing, as well.

Detectives were able to recover the car after it was taken on an apparent joyride, but have yet to find the missing TV.

The incident was the latest in a string of burglaries in the neighborhood around Blackman High School.

Police have asked residents to report any suspicious activity in the area.

No suspects have been identified in the case.
