NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police were looking for two suspects in a smash and grab robbery at a Bellevue gas station.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said two males tossed a rock through the front door of the Mapco on Highway 70 early Tuesday morning.

The men got away with cigarettes and the entire cash register, which contained only about $40 inside.

It was unclear how long the men were inside the store.

It was believed these may have been the same suspects who were caught on tape last week in a similar robbery about 20 miles away at the Shell Station on Elm Hill Pike.

The suspects were believed to be two white men, both seen wearing white bandannas, and were driving a blue two-door pickup truck, possibly a Ford Ranger.

Anyone with information about either incident has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
