MADISON, Tenn. – Police have requested the public’s help identifying a woman who robbed a Dollar General.

According to officials, the woman entered the Dollar General in the 1500 block of North Gallatin Pike around 8:50 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the woman approached the manager, demanded money, and kept her right hand inside her purse to indicate she was armed.

Police said the manager gave her money and reported seeing a handgun in the suspect’s purse.

According to detectives, an investigation was underway to determine if this suspect was the same woman who robbed the Bank of America in the 4400 block of Harding Pike Wednesday morning.

Anyone with additional information or the woman’s identity has been asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
