A suspect search got underway overnight in Davidson County after a group of people fled from a stolen car.
The ordeal began when a Metro Nashville Police officer approached a car near the Old Hickory dam while out on patrol.
At that time, five people inside the car jumped out and fled. The officer later ran a trace of the license plate and realized the vehicle was stolen.
An intense search ensued and at one point, K9 officers were called in to assist. Metro’s police helicopter also circled the heavily wooded area.
Three of the five suspects were later taken into custody; however, two remain at large. Officers eventually suspended the search and said the two possibly fled the area.
At this time, it’s unclear how the car was stolen.
The was no description of the suspects but police said they could be armed. The investigation remained ongoing.
