FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Police said they have been searching for two men wanted for questioning in a series of home burglaries.
The incidents took place late Friday morning in the Chestnut Bend subdivision after a homeowner returned to find his back door forced open and items missing.
During the investigation, authorities found that two other homes in the area had also been burglarized. The suspects apparently approached a fourth house but fled when confronted by the homeowner.
Authorities said the two suspects were black males in a gray Honda Accord with Florida tags.
Officials in Brentwood have also been investigating a similar burglary that occurred Thursday morning in the Fountainhead Subdivision off Franklin Road.
Police believe the incidents are related and are working together to pursue leads.
Residents in both the Chestnut Bend and Fountainhead subdivisions were urged to review home surveillance video for images of the suspects or their vehicle.
Officials asked the public to be on the lookout for these men and this vehicle. Anyone with information was urged to contact Franklin Police at 615-794-2513.
