A renowned group of singers are getting a new rehearsal space. The Talley House between Jackson Street and Herman Street will be the new home for the Fisk Jubilee Singers.
The building is being renovated to include a multi-purpose room for rehearsals and meetings.
It will be called the Talley-Curb House in honor of the donation from Fisk Trustee Emeritus Mike Curb that allowed all the renovations to take place.
The president of the university said this change will be significant for the group.
Other renovations happening for the singers will be a study area for students, a conference room, and a music recording area all in house.
