Authorities have identified and spoken with the person who was in the passenger seat of Jocques Clemmons’ car before he was fatally shot by a Metro Nashville Police Officer.
Metro Officer Joshua Lippert shot and killed Clemmons on February 10 during a traffic stop.
Since then, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation had been seeking any information on the passenger in Clemmons’ car.
The TBI said Monday that agents had identified and spoken with the person.
However, TBI spokesman Josh DeVine did not disclose any additional information, nor was the person’s name released.
DeVine said a viewer called the TBI with information after seeing media coverage of the incident.
The investigation remained ongoing.
