Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have begun investigating the death of a 1-year-old in Smithville.
The child’s death was reported Saturday. EMS responded to the call of an unresponsive child at 1168 Barnes Mill Road in Dekalb County.
They found 1-year-old Mason Snyder dead in the home.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department responded, and the TBI aided in the investigation.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of death.
