Agents were called out to investigate after human remains were found in Franklin County.
The remains were discovered around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on Spring Hill Drive in Winchester.
Authorities were working to determine if the remains are that of a person who was reported missing on January 18.
Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were called to the scene.
Homicide was suspected in the case.
