According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at a hotel in the 6500 block of Poplar. An MSTF team made up of multiple agencies was attempting to serve an arrest warrant when the situation escalated.

TBI said a DEA agent fired into a room, striking and killing a man. No law enforcement officers were hurt.
