TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials say a a Tullahoma Police officer shot a man during a chase, which stemmed from a domestic incident.

Officers responded to the domestic call, which was described to be in a vehicle, around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they tried to pull over the vehicle, but it sped away and the officers terminated their pursuit.

A short time later, officers spotted the vehicle and, again, tried to stop it in the area of West Waggoner Street and South Jackson Street. The situation escalated, for reasons still under investigation, and resulted in at least one Tullahoma officer shooting the man inside the vihicle.

The man continued to drive into neighboring Franklin County. Once he stopped, medics transported him to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition. No law enforcement officers were hurt in the incident.

The TBI did not identify the officer.
