WINCHESTER, Tenn. (WTVF) — A suspect was shot and killed by officers in Franklin County Friday night after he reached for a weapon as they approached him.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) are investigating the shooting. They say a suspect - Larry Millraney, 39 - shot into someone's home. A Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputy and Winchester police officer pursued the suspect's vehicle around 11:15 p.m.
During the pursuit, Millraney crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Highway 130 and Old Estill Springs Road.
As officers approached the suspect, he reached for a weapon. The officers then shot and fatally wounded him.
No officers were injured during this incident.
