A Knoxville murder suspect believed to have been armed and dangerous was taken off the streets.
James Michael Smith turned himself in to authorities Friday night after being placed on the TBI's Top 10 Most Wanted List.
He had been on the run after an incident in Loudon County earlier in the week.
The 40-year-old has been facing murder, aggravated assault, and child abuse charges.
