NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — State officials want to make sure people released from jail find jobs; so, they hosted a Job fair for people on parole and probation.
Employers and representatives from post-secondary education programs attended the job fair.
They're helping to make sure everyone has access to funding for their education.
Officials say it's all about overcoming the stigma against convicts.
Employers who hire people on supervision get a tax credit, and the state also helps oversee the employee.
