NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation prepared for winter weather ahead of heavy rain and snow expected to hit the mid-state.
Unfortunately, crews can't combat snow and ice properly while it's raining. They weren't able to brine the roads ahead of time Friday because it would just get washed away.
Despite that issue, they say they'll be ready for whatever happens.
A Storm 5 Alert was issued for Saturday night and Sunday morning.
