NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 17-year-old was arrested in connection to shots fired inside the McFerrin Park Community Center.

Metro Nashville Police officers arrested the teen Thursday night after identifying him with the help of surveillance video.

Officials say the teen admitted to firing the shots after an altercation with an 18-year-old earlier in the day.

The 18-year-old, who was not hit by the gunfire, ran from the community center.

No one was injured in the incident. A handgun was recovered from the suspect’s bedroom. He was charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated assault, handgun possession, and felony vandalism.
