Teen arrested after crashing stolen Lexus and fleeing on foot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A teen has been arrested after he crashed a stolen vehicle and fled on foot with two others.

According to police, officers received a call about a traffic accident at North Gallatin Pike and Nesbitt Lane. There, a witness told police the driver of the black Lexus involved - 18-year-old Gabriel Brown - had fled on foot with two passengers, one of whom was later determined to be 15 years old.

Officers searched the surrounding area, eventually finding Brown and his two passengers in front of a home on the 600 block of Heritage Drive. They were taken into custody without any incident.

Brown admitted to being the driver of the Lexus. When officers checked the vehicle, they found it was registered as stolen.

Brown was arrested for failing to give information or render aid at the scene of a crash, operating a vehicle while unlicensed, failing to file report of an accident over $1,500, leaving the scene of an accident over $1,500, possession of a stolen vehicle and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
