A student was arrested and expelled from Oakland High School after marijuana and two handguns were found in his vehicle.
The items were found in the 17-year-old's car during a routine check of student parking permits. School officials said an administrator noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car.
The student was arrested by the school resource officer.
No threats were made against any students and the school staff followed all safety procedures to resolve the situation.
