A 17-year-old high school student has been charged after he was found in possession of a stolen gun on campus.
Reports stated the Maplewood High School student was followed to his vehicle on campus by a School Resource Officer after he left school without permission.
The SRO saw the stolen, loaded nine millimeter pistol in plain view in the vehicle on the passenger side. The gun was reported stolen out of Kentucky.
Also found inside the teen’s vehicle was drug paraphernalia.
The teen was being held in juvenile detention. He was charged with unlawful weapon possession, possession of stolen property, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
