Teen charged with attempted murder in Spring Hill shooting

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) — Spring Hill Police officers arrested and charged a 16-year-old with attempted murder in connection to a shooting Friday.

Police were notified of a shooting victim (17 years old) at Maury Regional Hospital. The victim reported being shot outside of a home on Belle Drive in Spring Hill a few hours earlier.

Officials say the shooting was not random and the teens knew each other.

Later in the day, the 16-year-old was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, and reckless endangerment.

The 17-year-old was treated and released from the hospital.
