MADISON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Three people escaped without injuries after their car crashed into the front of a Walgreens store in Madison early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at the store on Gallatin Pike North, near Myatt Drive.

According to Metro Police, the driver was headed north on Gallatin Pike North at speeds near 100 miles per hour, when he jumped the curb near Myatt Drive. The car crashed near the front of a Walgreens store. Pillars at the front of the business were damaged, but the store's entrance was not affected.

Officers said the three people inside the car weren't injured because they were wearing seat belts.

Metro Police said they expected to charge the 18-year-old driver in connection with the crash. The two passengers were juveniles, officers said, and they could potentially be charged with a curfew violation.

NewsChannel 5 has reached out to Walgreens to find out whether the store will open for normal business hours Wednesday.
